You have time to talk to God?

You have time to talk to God?

Internet listened to a conversation about meditation and the power of prayer, and I get to say a part of his talk that meditation and prayer were as effective as the action (Apostolic) priest. I really am not convinced that view, of course, that's because we always have the inside St. Thomas: see to believe!

Reading the Gospel according to Luke 10: 38-42, Jesus makes clear think that if you visit your home and strikes up a conversation with you, you have to make use of the priority scale to place of first listening to his word. This means, to my understanding, giving the place God first to listen (first commandment of the law: Love God with all your heart, with all your strength and with all your mind) and then do other things. Not make or choose one of the two at all times, but give priority to one and then the other.

This reminds us that we can not be either people who live all the time in "heaven" or those who live all the time on earth. They live all the time in heaven, do not have time to do charity which asks the Lord in prayer, and those who live all the time on earth, do not listen to God asking them to charity. He who lives all the time in "heaven" an angel, who lives all the time on earth "a simple creature" is believed to be created. Neither, we are beloved children of God, with the inheritance of the kingdom of heaven, people with body and soul.

I also heard in a webcast to a businessman who said that the invisible (thoughts, emotions and spirituality) makes possible the visible (your job, your money, your wealth). He likens it to a tree, where the roots are the invisible and the visible are the fruits. What a great teaching. Excellent!
Perhaps Jesus in the Gospel when they spoke with Marta, I wanted to say the same. To make chores efficiently, it was necessary to hear Him first (feed the tree roots with water lived Christ) and then get good results (at work, in the family, in society).

So, how long you need to listen to the Lord? In this I also remember spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola where the preacher said in a research study on the lives of many Catholic saints, the average time for prayer was 6 hours a day. Many of these before the Blessed Sacrament.I think that, at the present time, depending on the lifestyle we lead, maybe those 6 hours a day if, most satisfied in a constantly converse with God in silence, at work, on the subway, a little before the Blessed (those who live near a temple). There, time is 24 hours.

Jesus does not give Marta a structured or closed and tight so you can hear scheme, but if you let him know you're missing the most important thing for not giving priority.

I want to invite you to review the priority you are giving to the Word of Jesus in your life (the Gospels); I was checking me and my surprise is that it gave priority. Make the decision to read the gospel of the day according to the Roman liturgy, and has gone great. When I read say: This is so good that other people should read ... and then I put it on Facebook. "They say that good things can not be contained in itself, but is transmitted"

We thank you for your word Lord Jesus, You are the way, the truth and the life; source of the Holy Spirit, beloved Son of Heavenly Father, beloved son of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We want to sit at your feet as Mary did, to listen and thus bear abundant fruits of Faith, Hope and Charity. Your word is the lamp that illuminates our paths in moments of darkness and suffering, the light that never fades and revives our actions that lead us to eternal life. Amen.

If you liked, please share it and multiply the word of God!

Regards!
